Elliot Smith
Elliot Smith has over 52 years of experience in the investment banking industry. During the course of his career he held a variety of senior- management positions in some of the world's most prestigious financial institutions. Elliot began his career with Bache & Co. in 1954 in Syracuse, NY At age 26 he became the youngest branch manager in the Rochester, NY branch, later he was promoted to run the two Bache offices in New York City. In 1969 he was appointed National Sales Manager for Bache and in a few years was promoted to Executive Vice President and a member of its Executive Committee and Board of Directors. In 1970 he was elected to serve on the board of The Chicago Board of Options and when his term was up in 1975 he was elected to the Board of Governors of The American Stock Exchange where he served for six years. Upon his retirement from Bache he joined R. Lewis Securities as Manager Director. In 1995 he became the President of Rickel Associates and in 1998 became a Managing Director of Broadband Capital.until he retired in 2006.
Elliot served on the Board of Trustees of The Pennington School, Pennington, NJ and later was elected Vice Chairman. Among other volunteer activities he served as a Board member of The Securities Industry Automation Corp, President of Association Of Investment Brokers,Member of The CBOE, and the Chicago Board of Trade, a director and Treasurer of Plaza 400 ( a NYC co-operative apartment building), and Chairman of The Amex Commodities Exchange. He also served on the board of several public companies. Elliot received a BS in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
