John Ziebarth is a semi-retired management consultant in the field of
international financial management. He has served in this role for
more than twenty-five years on projects in over a dozen countries on
five continents. John is an alumnus of Hamilton College and the
Thunderbird School of Global Management. His career after graduate
school began with Procter & Gamble in Europe where he resided for
more than a decade, enabling him to become fluent in French and other
European languages. Subsequent management positions in manufacturing and
capital project administration with international companies took him to
Cincinnati, San Francisco and later back to Brussels, Belgium. In the
early 1980's he returned to the United States, taking a position as Vice
president/General Manager of a privately held surgical supplies
manufacturer based in Westchester County.
In 1985, he co-founded Lexington Acquisition Associates, Ltd. in New
York, a management consulting firm serving principally privately owned,
middle-market companies. During this time he earned his management
consulting certification from the Institute of Management Consultants,
and frequently served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration
Association. The success of Lexington Associates led to a merger with a
nationally affiliated accounting firm for which he became President of
their management advisory services division. In 1990, he was seized by
the entrepreneurial spirit and acquired Nationwide Shipping Services, a
failing, New Jersey-based third party logistics services provider.
After re-building the company and adding a host of national name
accounts to the client roster, he sold it to a larger competitor and
returned to consulting.
While still consulting to a limited number of European clients, he
now continues pursuing his interests in travel, linguistics, history and
writing. He has served as a Director and/or Officer on dozens of Boards
of Directors in both the profit and non-profit sectors.
